Lady Tigers Sweep Goshen In Conference Volleyball Match
Alexie Day had 14 kills, and Katie Swanson added eight kills for Warsaw in its 25-13, 25-14, 25-12 Northern Lakes Conference volleyball win over visiting Goshen Thursday.
Kacy Bragg had five aces, and Erin Peugh had 25 digs for the Lady Tigers.
The Warsaw junior varsity beat Goshen 25-10, 25-18. Gwyn Bellamy had seven kills, Kylie Prater had six aces, with Courtney Chookie and Evyn Mangun contributing five kills each.
In the freshman match, Tessa Wood and Allison Zartman had six kills each in the Lady Tigers’ 25-8, 25-9 win. Sidney Morel had 16 digs, Zartman added six aces and Kendra Love had 10 aces in the win.
Warsaw resumes NLC play Tuesday at Northridge in Middlebury.
Triton Sweeps Culver Community In Conference Play
CULVER – Nicole Sechrist had seven kills, nine digs and four aces for Triton in its 25-13, 25-17, 25-15 sweep at Culver Community in Hoosier North Athletic Conference volleyball Thursday.
Hannah Wanemacher had 18 assists and four aces in the match. Charlotte Morris led Triton with 16 kills, and Lexia Hostrawser had five kills. Emma Ross had eight digs and Sydney Musilli had four aces.
The Lady Trojan junior varsity won 24-25, 25-13, 15-5.
Now 5-3 (2-0 in the conference), Triton will host North Judson on Wednesday.
Valley Gets TRC Volleyball Sweep
BUNKER HILL – Sophie Bussard led Tippecanoe Valley with eight kills in Thursday’s 25-22, 25-17, 25-22 Three Rivers Conference volleyball win at Maconaquah.
Shayleigh Shriver had nine digs and six aces for the Lady Vikings. Emily Peterson had 35 assists, Olivia Trippiedi had nine digs, and Makenzie Woodcox had a pair of blocks.
The Valley junior varsity came back for a 24-25, 25-16, 15-11 victory. Allison Betten had eight digs and seven aces for the Lady Vikings. Sidney Wagner had 12 kills, and Sarah Myers had eight assists.
Tippecanoe Valley improved to 6-4 overall and 2-1 in the conference. The Lady Vikings will play in a tournament in Garrett Saturday.
Manchester Falls To Lady Apaches
WABASH – Wabash won a Three Rivers Conference volleyball match 25-21, 27-25, 16-25, 25-12 over Manchester Thursday night.
Kara Kline had eight kills and Kennidy Lauer and Sidney Day had seven kills each for the Lady Squires. Kendra Auler had three aces, Anna Osborne and Kline and three blocks each, and Kline added 15 digs for the Lady Squires.
Manchester will host Columbia City in a non-conference matchup on Tuesday.
Lady Pilgrims Sweep Wawasee
PLYMOUTH – Wawasee was on the short end of a 25-13, 25-22, 25-12 score to Plymouth in a Northern Lakes Conference volleyball loss Thursday.
Plymouth won the junior varsity match 25-12, 25-17. Ella Williamson and Kenzie Click had four digs each, Ava Rush had five digs and two kills and Madi Mottern had two kills for Wawasee.
The freshman match went to Wawasee 25-18, 25-21. Emma Dippon had four kills, three digs, three aces and a block, and Cathrine Ondrla had eight aces and two assists. Morgan Heche added six digs and a kill.
Wawasee (1-10, 0-1 in the conference) hosts Goshen on Thursday.
LCA Falls In 5-Sets In New Conference
WINONA LAKE – Lakeland Christian Academy dropped a 28-26, 14-25, 15-25, 25-22, 15-13 Thursday to visiting Granger Christian in the Lady Cougars’ first volleyball match in the newly formed Hoosier Plains Conference.
Cami Dahms had 13 kills, nine digs and six aces for LCA. Carlie Wise had 12 digs and four aces. Kyla Kohler had 26 assists and nine aces.
The Lady Cougars play another HPC match Tuesday at Community Baptist Christian School in South Bend.
Whitko VB Swept At North Miami
DENVER – Whitko lost a Three Rivers Conference volleyball match 25-15, 25-13, 30-28 at North Miami Thursday.
Kristina Slater had 20 digs for the Lady Wildcats. Haley Howard had 10 kills and Emalee Duggins added eight kills for Whitko.
The Lady Wildcats will host Peru in a conference match Tuesday evening.
