Author Heck Coming To Victory Fellowship

NORTH MANCHESTER — Author Peter Heck will speak at 10 a.m. Nov. 5 at Victory Christian Fellowship, North Manchester.

Heck, of Kokomo, graduated cum laude from Indiana Wesleyan University in 2001 with a Bachelor of Science in both social studies education and political science. Then after compiling a perfect academic record, he earned his master’s in political science from Ball State University in 2007.

A high school teacher since 2001, Heck teaches courses in American government and American history. He founded a media productions corporation, Attaboy Productions Inc., in 2004.

In 2011, Heck published his first book, “78: How Christians Can Save America,” followed by “Believe: A Confrontation with Christianity’s Biggest Challenges” in 2012, “Me: America's Deadly Obsession” in 2014, and “Family” in 2015. He is also a contributing columnist for the Indianapolis Star and The American Thinker, and his work has appeared in The Washington Times, FrontPageMag, OneNewsNow and WorldNetDaily.

Victory Christian Fellowship, a nondenominational, family church, is at 112 W Main St., North Manchester.

Holiday Bazaar Nov. 4 At First Brethren

Warsaw First Brethren Church is having its annual holiday bazaar from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Nov. 4.

The bazaar will have door prizes and lots of gift ideas. Lunch will be available.

Revival Planned At Healing House Nov. 1-5

Healing House Church of God is planning revival services next week.

Meetings will be at 7 p.m. Nov. 1-5 and 11 a.m. Nov. 5. A dinner will follow the morning service.

Trunk-Or-Treat At Family Worship Center

Trunk-or-treat is planned from 4 to 6:30 p.m. Saturday at Warsaw Family Worship Center.

Fall Festival Friday At First Free Will Baptist

CLAYPOOL — First Free Will Baptist Church of Kosciusko County will have its annual fall festival Friday.

Food will be served from 6 to 8 p.m. and trunk-n-treat and games will be from 7 to 8:30 p.m. A cake walk and a kids train are also planned.

If it rains, the trunk-n-treat and games will be inside the church, which is at 58 W. 700S, Claypool.

Holiday Dinner Will Aid Mission Projects

CLAYPOOL — Claypool United Methodist Church will have its annual holiday dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. Nov. 3.

Cost for the dinner will be $8 for adults, $4 for youth ages 7 to 12, and free for children age 6 and younger. Carry-outs will be available.

Those who bring a canned good will receive 50 cents off the cost of their meal.

Proceeds will benefit the church's many mission projects. The church is at 302 E. Section St., Claypool.



Trunk-Or-Treat Tuesday At Bethel Baptist

PIERCETON — Trunk-or-treat will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Bethel Baptist Church, 1109 W. Market St., Pierceton.

The evening will include games and refreshments, and a warm place to relax will be available.



Harvest Party, Family Sunday Among Events

New Harvest Church of the Nazarene has announced several events this weekend.

A fall harvest party is planned for 6 p.m. Saturday at the church. Activities will include a chili cook-off, games for adults and teens in the Harvest Center, games for childen down the hall, s’mores and a hayride. Everyone is welcome.

Also on Saturday, the Iron Workers men’s prayer breakfast is planned for 8 a.m.

New Harvest will celebrate fall this weekend with Family Sunday. People are invited to bring a decorated pumpkin for a decorating contest, and a fall trivia contest is planned. People are asked to pray about what God wants to “show  you or grow you” this fall, write it on an index card and bring the card to the service Sunday to share.

Marty Miller Will Give Concert Nov. 5

Marty Miller will give a concert at 10:15 a.m. Nov. 5 at  Community Bible Church, Warsaw.

A dedication dinner in honor of the church’s new multipurpose addition will follow.

Soup And Sandwich/Talent Night Saturday

SILVER LAKE — South Pleasant United Methodist Church invites everyone to its annual soup and sandwich supper/talent night at 6 p.m. Saturday.

A variety of soups, sandwiches and other foods will be provided before the entertainment. Everyone is welcome to bring their talent to the stage, or enjoy the music, poetry, etc., of others.
