Kids Fall Fest Oct. 21 At Trinity United Methodist Church

Trinity United Methodist Church will hold its annual Kids Fall Fest on Oct. 21.

The event will include games, prizes, a balloon man, food and drinks. In addition, two bicycles will be given away.

The festival will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Trinity is at 832 E. Center St., Warsaw.



Kid’s Club Starts Next Week At Silver Lake Wesleyan Church

SILVER LAKE — Silver Lake Wesleyan Church will begin its midweek program for children next week.

Kid’s Club will kick off with a Fall Family Festival at 6 p.m. Tuesday. Each child will receive a pumpkin to paint.  The Puppet Gang from Marion will be featured during the evening.

Kid’s Club is for children age 3 through grade six. It will meet from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesdays except Oct. 31. The program will feature Bible teaching, videos, games and refreshments. The subject of creation will be the teaching focus for the fall semester.

Adults are encouraged to bring their children, learn about the Bible-centered program and register children for the fall semester.

The church is at 106 Walnut St., Silver Lake. Parking is on the north side of the church. Enter the church through the south door, lower level.



Free Community Meal Tuesday At Sacred Heart Church

A community meal will be offered in the Sacred Heart Church gym from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Tuesday.

This month’s  meal will feature beef tacos, chicken enchiladas, chips and salsa, Mexican rice, fresh fruit  and a variety of desserts. This dinner is  provided and served by Sacred Heart parishioners.  

There is no charge for the meal. All in the community are welcome.

Rummage Sale Planned Saturday At Church Of God

A rummage sale fundraiser is planned from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at Warsaw Church of God.

The sale will feature new Pampered Chef items at 50 to 70 percent off. Other miscellaneous items will be available.

The church is at 1059 Rozella Road, Warsaw.



Guest Musician To Lead Sunday Service At Leesburg UMC

LEESBURG — Michael Wayne Smith will lead the service at 9 a.m. Sunday at Leesburg United Methodist Church.

Smith has been a guest musician at the church’s lakeside service the past few years. He is a Christian singer/songwriter from Oak Ridge, Tenn., and has been traveling and performing with his family since 2009.

His work includes six studio albums, 14 radio singles and a live concert DVD/CD. His primary genre is southern/country gospel.

The church is at 111 W. Prarie St., Leesburg.



South Whitley UMC Announces Several Upcoming Events

SOUTH WHITLEY — Several activities are being planned at South Whitley United Methodist Church.

Pastor Keith Schreffler is beginning a new topic at the church’s 9 a.m. service. A free coffee bar provides treats following the service.

A membership class will begin Sunday for anyone interested in joining the family-oriented church.

Zumba meets at 7 p.m. Wednesdays.

Cub Scouts will meet at 6:30 p.m. Oct. 19.

Sonshine Childcare is adding a teacher because of its growth. The position works with children 32 hours a week. For more information, call Jodi Sims at 260-723-5105.

Fusion youth meetings, led by Tony Klepinger, will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday and Oct. 29.

The church is at 6685 Ind. 14, South Whitley.



Tenderloin, Fish Fry Planned At Lakeside Chapel Oct. 21

SYRACUSE — A fish and tenderloin fry by Dan’s Fish Fry Service is planned for Oct. 21 at Wawasee Lakeside Chapel.

The all-you-can-eat event will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Cost is $10 for adults and $5 for children ages 4 to 12. A dessert will cost $1.

Drive-up service will be available.

The chapel is at 10419 N. Turkey Creek Road, Syracuse.



Healing House Pantry Is Open 2 Thursdays Each Month

Healing House Food Pantry, 210 W. Winona Ave., will now be open the second and last Thursday each month.



Healing House Church Of God To Have Yard Sale Friday, Saturday

Healing House Church of God is planning a yard sale.

The event will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday and Saturday.



Barbecue Fundraiser At New Harvest Church Of The Nazarene

New Harvest Church of the Nazarene is planning a Steve Sands’ Boss Hog  pulled pork barbecue fundraiser,

The event will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday  inside the  Harvest Center at the church at 1654 Fisher Ave., Warsaw.

Sandwiches, macaroni and cheese, green  beans, cole slaw and dessert will be served for $10.



New Hope Freewill Baptist Offers Kids’ Club Every Wednesday

New Hope Freewill Baptist Church invites all children age 5-12 to Kids' Club.

The Club meets from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. each Wednesday. The church is on Ind. 15N.
