Jean M. Dunkle Johnston will celebrate her 90th birthday Oct. 17 with a surprise card party.

Send Jean a birthday card or letter to her son’s address: Jean Johnston, c/o Ron Johnston, 4813 N. 100 E., Warsaw, IN 46582.

Jean has wonderful memories of 65 years with her husband, Ken, who died four years ago.

She was born in Mayburg, Pa., and lived her younger years there. She and Ken built their home in Franklin, Pa., and were founding members of the Baptist Temple of Franklin, which grew to a membership of 125. They were transferred to Warsaw with Ken’s work.

After her husband’s retirement they traveled all over the United States and spent winters in Florida. They were very active with the bowling leagues in Warsaw.

Jean enjoys crocheting and knitting, especially making things for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She has four children: Tim, Deb, Ron and Lela; 14 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.
