Lady Trojans Sweep Caston In HNAC Volleyball Match
FULTON – Nichole Sechrist had 10 kills, four aces and two blocks for Triton in its 25-13, 25-20, 25-10 Hoosier North Athletic Conference volleyball sweep at Caston Tuesday.
Abbey and Alyxa Viers had seven and six kills, respectively, for the Lady Trojans. Hannah Wanemacher recorded 21 assists and 11 digs, Sydney Musilli 11 digs and Charlotte Morris two blocks for Triton.
The Lady Trojans won the junior varsity match 25-19, 25-21 over the Lady Comets.
Triton will play a non-conference match at South Central Thursday.
Wawasee VB Falls
LIGONIER – Hannah Gaerte had 12 digs and five kills for Wawasee in its 25-14, 25-13, 25-14 non-conference volleyball loss at West Noble Tuesday.
Peyton Rookstool had seven digs and Hannah-Marie Lamle three kills for the Lady Warriors.
West Noble won the junior varsity match 25-8, 25-23 over Wawasee. Molly Jones had four kills, Kiaundra Olson three aces and Ress Fancil six digs in the match for Wawasee.
Now 5-27 overall, Wawasee will play a Northern Lakes Conference match at NorthWood Thursday night.
LCA Falls In 4 Sets
WINONA LAKE – Senior Kyla Kohler had 17 assists, six aces, six kills and eight digs for Lakeland Christian in its 25-12, 21-25, 25-11, 29-27 loss to the visiting Goshen Blue Blazers Tuesday night.
Heather Plastow had 21 digs in her last home match, and classmate MyKenzie Burns had four kills. Cami Dahms added six kills and Carlie Wise four kills for the Lady Cougars.
Lakeland Christian will play at Caston Thursday.
Lady Squires Drop 5-Set Match
WINAMAC – Manchester lost a five-set non-conference volleyball match at Winamac Tuesday. Specific set scores and statistics were not available as of press time.
The Lady Squires (7-20) won the junior varsity match 15-25, 25-22, 15-13 over Winamac.
Manchester closes out its regular season Thursday, hosting Fort Wayne Blackhawk.
