Lady Trojans Top LaVille In Conference Opener

The Lady Trojans led 18-8 after one quarter of play, 29-21 at halftime and 36-29 at the end of the third quarter en route to the 10-point win.
Wanemacher finished with a game-high 16 points, and also tallied four rebounds, four steals and two assists.
Sophomore Whytnie Miller chipped in with eight points, five boards and four steals, while junior Chelsea Johnson contributed six points and four rebounds, and senior Nicole Sechrist added five points, five boards and five assists.
Lindsey Aschenbrenner paced LaVille with 11 points, seven rebounds, five assists and four steals, while teammates Haley Berger and Aryn Eash scored nine and six points, respectively, in the loss.
Triton extended its win streak to three games and is now 5-5 overall and 1-0 in HNAC play. The Lady Trojans host conference foe Knox on Saturday.
LaVille, which entered Wednesday’s contest on a four-game win streak, fell to 6-2 and 0-1.
