BOURBON – A second-half surge led Plymouth High School’s varsity boys basketball team to a convincing win over Triton at the Trojan Trench Tuesday evening.

After leading by just one point at the end of the first quarter and by eight points at halftime, Plymouth outscored the Trojans 34-10 in the second half, including 19-3 in the fourth quarter, en route to a 59-27 victory.

Plymouth is now 3-0, while Triton is 0-2.

The Pilgrims shot 53 percent from the field and turned the ball over 12 times, while Triton made just 40 percent of its field goal attempts, committed 31 turnovers and only scored 16 points in the final three quarters.

Plymouth turned Triton’s ballhandling miscues into 37 points.

Senior Ross Johnson led the Trojans in scoring with 11 points, while junior Beau Hepler chipped in with nine.

The Pilgrims had three players score in double figures. Kadin McCrammer led the way with 17 points, while Clay Hilliard and Garrett Tharp finished with 14 and 12 points, respectively.

Plymouth won the junior varsity contest 59-24.

Trenton Kreft led the JV Trojans with seven points.

Triton is in action again Friday when it hosts NorthWood.
