By Staff Report-

Organizers behind the annual Feed My Starving Children’s Warsaw MobilePack have announced plans for next year’s effort.

The next event will be Oct. 17-20 at the Gordon Rec Center at Grace College.

FMSC says it hopes to prepare 1 million meals with next year’s effort.

“FMSC Warsaw MobilePack will invite the community – multi-generational families, students, church groups, office groups, sports teams and thousands of individuals – to come together to pack meals,” according to a news release from the organization.

Megan Stone, event chair, announced a fundraising goal to coincide with next year’s plans.

“We need to raise 22 cents for every meal packed. Our goal is 1 million meals, so we need $220,000,” she said.

Eighty dollars is needed to feed one child for an entire year, Stone said.

“We really count on the support of the entire community to make this possible,” Stone said.

Anyone wanting to help can send tax-deductible donations at www.warsawmobilepack.com or mail them to Warsaw MobilePack, P.O. Box  272, Winona Lake, IN  46590. Checks should be payable to FMSC and include “MobilePack #1810-047AU” in the memo line.

Volunteers worked to produce  MannaPack meals by measuring and scooping ingredients, labeling and sealing bags, and preparing boxes for shipping.

Every individual who served made a great impact on the lives of hungry children around the world, the news release said. Following Hurricane Matthew, meals were shipped directly to FMSC partner in Haiti, Allowing Christ To Shine.
