County Jail Bookings

 The following people were preliminarily charged and booked into the Kosciusko County Jail.

•10:21 a.m. Monday – Angelique Darlene Holmes, 29, of 122 E. South St., Burket arrested for driving while suspended. Bond: $450.

•11:42 a.m. Monday – Frank Leland Tripp, 49, of 204 Harrison Court, Syracuse, arrested for two counts of failure to pay.  Bond $1,075.

•1:29 p.m. Monday – Ted Jefferson Hight, 23, of 76 EMS 24E Lane, Warsaw,  arrested for failure to appear, Bond: $805.50.

•1:49 p.m.. Monday – Gabriel Samuel Rhodes, 22, of 905 N. Harrison St., Syracuse, arrested for possession of marijuana and possession of a narcotic. Bond: $5,250.

•1:50 p.m. Monday – Eric Bradley Salyer, 25, of 826 N CR 650W, Warsaw, arrested for two counts of failure to appear. Bond: $493.

•2:16 p.m. Monday – Donald Ray Shepherd, 48, of 206 Walnut St., Mentone, arrested for failure to appear. Bond: $616.

•2:26 p.m. Monday – Preston Michael Gibson, 29, of 309 E. John St., Syracuse, arrested on two counts of failure to appear and on a civil warrant. Bond: $500.

•2:33 p.m. Monday – Robert Ray Hickey, 31, South Bend, arrested for theft. Bond: $600.

•2:45 p.m. Monday – Vernard Glen Tillman, 57, Shipshewana, arrested for corrupt businesses influence. Bond: $11,000.

*3:37 p.m. Monday – Jennifer Rene Moran, 39, of 603 Parker St. Warsaw, arrested for domestic battery in the presence. Released without bond,

•3:43 p.m. Monday – Daniel Kay Smith,  48, arrested for 2805 Center St., arrested for drug court violation. No bond set. 

•6:57 p.m. Monday – Dustin Keith Catanarite, 31, South Bend, arrested on a civil warrant. Bond: $600.

•7:30 p.m. Monday – Josiah James Gall, 23, of Auditorium Boulevard, Winona Lake, arrested for domestic battery in the presence of a child and strangulation. Bond: $5,250.

•7:42 p.m. Monday – Phillip Marshall Shafer, 47, of 81 EMS R35E Lane, Pierceton, arrested for possession of paraphernalia and failure to stop after an accident. Bond: $600.



Personal Injury Accident

• 4:09 a.m. Monday – Intersection of U.S. 30 and CR 325E, Warsaw. Single-car rollover. Driver: Sherry Lopez, 55,  Winamac. Injury: Lopez complained of pain to her entire body. Damage: $5,000 to $10,000. Kosciusko Sheriff’s Department investigated. 



Property Damage Accidents

•6:25 a.m. Monday – Intersection of North Biomet and Bell drives, Warsaw. Two-vehicle collision. Driver: Kaily Hackworth, 20, Plymouth; Charles Holbrook, 26, Ind. 19, Etna Green. Damage: $750 to $1,000.  Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated.

•8:27 a.m. Monday – Intersection of South Jefferson and East Sycamore streets, Silver Lake. Car hit fire hydrant. Driver: John Pasley, 51, Plymouth. Damage: $2,500 to $5,000. KCSD.

•5:54 p.m. Monday – Intersection of Ind. 15 and Arthur Street, Warsaw. Two-vehicle collision. Drivers: Phillip Shafer, 47, CR 600N, Warsaw; Robin Hyde, 46, CR 400S, Warsaw. Damage: $5,000 to $10,000. Warsaw Police Department investigated.



Incident

•12:17 p.m. Monday – A female reported her apartment being burglarized. Jewelry and money were taken. WPD.

Warsaw Falls To Penn In First Ever Sectional Game
The first ever boys volleyball sectional tournament game for Warsaw came against a familiar playoff foe. Facing off against Penn, the Tigers battled valiantly for four sets, but were unable to finish things off in a 3-1 loss.

Ribeye steak or strip with baked potatoes and a salad bar will be served at the American Legion Post 49, Warsaw, from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday. There will be karaoke starting at 7 p.m.
