Lady Cougars Drop Close Game At Lakewood Park

AUBURN – Lakeland Christian trailed host Lakewood Park by six points heading into the fourth quarter, and the Lady Cougars’ rally in the last period fell short in a 33-31 non-conference basketball loss Thursday night.

Senior Jess Slone led the Lady Cougars with 12 points, and she pulled down eight rebounds. Anna Reimink had eight points and Hope Fancil had five. Brady Gross had two points and a team-high nine rebounds.

The junior varsity game was cancelled due to a lack of available players for Lakewood Park.

Now 2-1, LCA will host Elkhart Christian at 11:30 a.m. Saturday.

Lady Trojans Fall To County Rival Lady Pilgrims


PLYMOUTH – Hannah Wanemacher had 15 points for Triton in its 56-29 non-conference girls basketball loss at Plymouth Thursday night.

Whytnie Miller had four points in the matchup of Marshall County schools.

Plymouth’s Halle Reichard led all scorers with 18 points.

Triton (2-3) plays the second of three straight road games against Northern Lakes Conference teams Saturday, travelling to Syracuse to take on Wawaseee. The junior varsity game is scheduled to start at 6 p.m.
