Tuesday Night Bridge Group

The group had six tables at its Nov. 14 gathering, with the following winners: Virginia Horn, Nancy Dalton, Janet Wagley, Judy Stewart, Tony Frazzetta, Becky Girard and Tom Anderson.  

Janet and John Wagley are hostess and host for November.



Four Seasons Ladies Bridge

The Four Seasons Ladies Bridge met Nov. 15 at Grace Village.  

Winners were Maxine Harris, Peg Zimmerman, Joan Earhart and Ann Howe. Beth Huffer was the hostess.



Singles Meeting Friends

Eleven people attended Wednesday’s meeting at the Martin’s deli, with the upcoming Christmas party the highlight of discussion.

The party is planned for Dec. 2 at Tippe Downs; Vicki will give directions to those who need them. Donations of small gifts for bingo prizes are needed. The group will furnish the meat, but members are asked to bring a covered dish to share.

Some from the group are planning to attend one of the Lake Area Players presentations of “Christmas on the Air” at Quaker Haven Camp on Dewart Lake.

The group meets at 6:30 p.m. Wednesdays at Martin’s Super Market, Warsaw.



Winona Lake Literary Club

WINONA LAKE — Winona Lake Literary Club met Nov. 15 at the Robin Hood Community Center.

The program, "From Amish Buggy to the Stars," was presented by Lt. Col. Dale Burkholder, USAF (retired).  While on active duty, Burkholder was stationed in many areas throughout the United States and in several countries. His love of flying started when he was just 5 years old after a neighbor gave him a ride in his private plane. Even though he is retired, he said the love of flying has never left him.

A short business meeting and refreshments followed.



Grace Thursday Bridge

The group gathered Nov. 16 with Ann Thallemer as  hostess.

Winners were Joan Kizer, Beth Huffer and Pauline Holderman.



North Webster Community Bridge

NORTH WEBSTER — Bridge results at the Senior Prime Enrichment Center have been announced.

Winners on Nov. 16 were Wanda Wyrick, first, and Jean Cowan, second.
