The evidence introduced at trial indicated that the Kosciusko County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office, Child Support Division, has had a long history of enforcement efforts against Betts, which included a prior conviction in 2007 for non-support of a dependent child.
As a result of his prior conviction, Betts’ charges were enhanced to level 5 felonies, which the jury convicted him of on each and every count, the release states.
Judge Joe Sutton set sentencing for Dec. 7.
Betts faces one to six years on each count.
