FORT WAYNE – A Winona Lake couple are facing charges after police allege they stole lottery tickets from several convenience stores, according to a news release from the Indiana State Police.

Paul, 41, and Rachael Adams, 39, of 1488 Wooster Road, #47, face charges of corrupt business influence in Allen County.

In his investigation, State Police Det. Clint Hetrick discovered the couple would use distraction techniques to steal lottery tickets from convenience stores in Allen and surroundings counties, the release says. The couple would then go to a different store and cash the winning tickets.

Hoosier Lottery security investigators Matt Lewis and Douglas Theobald began investigating the case after Hetrick brought the incidents to their attention.
