AKRON — Gary L. Sriver, 79, Akron, died Nov. 5, 2017.

He was born in Rochester on Jan. 23, 1938, to Orville and Claudia Rhodes Sriver. He married Tamara L. Hand of Akron on Feb. 22, 1957.  

He had served as president of the Fulton County Council.

A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 11, with visitation beginning at 9:30 a.m., at Grace United Methodist Church, 201 W. Seventh St., Rochester. The Rev. Kerry O’Brien will officiated.

Visitation also is planned from 3 to 8 Friday, Nov. 10, at Hartzler Funeral Home, 305 W. Rochester St., Akron.
