Tigers Finish Sixth At Lafayette Jeff Invitational
LAFAYETTE – Warsaw was sixth among 21 teams at the Lafayette Jefferson Invitational at Battle Ground Golf Course Saturday. Carmel, the No. 2 team in the state, won with a 292 and No. 3 Westfield was the runner-up with a 296. The Tigers shot 319.
Warsaw was led by Luke Delp with a 77, closely followed by Sam Yeager and Tim Rata, who shot 78 and 79, respectively. Luke Johnson carded an 85 and Tommy Meier shot 90 for the Tigers.
The Tigers will host a sectional tournament Friday at Rozella Ford.
Lady Tigers Fall To St. Joseph At Semistate
CULVER – Warsaw’s girls tennis season came to an end at the Culver Academies Semistate Saturday with a 5-0 loss to No. 7 South Bend St. Joseph. Each match was in straight sets.
The Lady Tigers finished with a 14-4 record.

Manchester Golf 4th At Wabash Invitational
WABASH – Harley Kruschwitz was second overall with a 75, and Manchester finished fourth at the Wabash Invitational boys golf tournament Saturday at Honeywell Golf Course. Marion won with a 292, followed by Northfield’s 309, Logansport’s 319 and the Squires at 357.
Parker Wagoner shot an 85 for Manchester, with Nathan Self posting an 87. Konrad Borgmann shot a 100 and Klayton Hendrix at 104.
Manchester will play in the Warsaw Sectional at Rozella Ford Golf Club on Friday.
Wawasee Falls To Panthers
SYRACUSE – Wawasee saw its baseball season come to an end Saturday with an 11-4 loss to NorthWood in the 3A Sectional. The tournament was moved to Wawasee from NorthWood due to wet grounds.
NorthWood went on to claim its fifth consecutive sectional crown with a 14-0 win over Lakeland Monday.
Jamie Slabaugh, Rylan Kuhn and Spencer Prescott all drove in runs for the Warriors, who closed out with a 12-15 record for the season.
Marines Take Down Trojans
FORT WAYNE – Triton lost its baseball sectional opener 4-3 to Hamilton at Fort Wayne Blackhawk Saturday.
Statistics for the contest were not available as of press time. Triton finished the season with a 15-8 record.
