Whitko Wins Softball Sectional

CONVERSE – The Class 2A softball sectional final was moved up an hour to beat the rain, and then the Whitko Lady Wildcats ended a drought.

With a 1-0, eight-inning win over the host Lady Eagles, Whitko secured its first softball sectional title since 2005 and the program’s fourth overall.

Whitko is now 23-5 on the season and will play in a one-game regional Tuesday at either Winamac or Delphi, who play in an 11 a.m. sectional final today.

Oak Hill finished the season with a 20-9 record.
