County Jail Bookings

 The following people were preliminarily charged and booked into the Kosciusko County Jail.

• 10:21 a.m. Monday – Pablo Gonzales, 37, of 1209 E. Market St., Warsaw, arrested for failure to appear. Bond: $500.

• 11:40 a.m. Monday – Phillip Butler, 72, of 703 W. CR 1250N, Milford, arrested for criminal trespass and bestiality. Bond: $5,250.

• 3:20 p.m. Monday – Jeremy Michael Sandusky, 41, Jackson, Mich., arrested for corrupt business influence. Bond: $11,000.

• 7:42 p.m. Monday – Nathan Daniel George, 30, of 77 Kings Highway, #3, Winona Lake, arrested for failure to appear.  Bond: $1,000.



Personal Injury Accidents

• 4:29 p.m. Monday – Intersection of East Fort Wayne and South Indiana streets, Warsaw. Jeep/mo-ped collision. Drivers: Brandon Hoskins, 23,  Sunset Drive, Warsaw; Travis Nichols, 33, West Main Street,?Warsaw. Injury: Hoskins was taken to a hospital with minor injuries to abdomen. Damage: $1,000 to $2,500. Warsaw Police Department investigated.

• 9:06 p.m. Monday – Intersection of CRs 900N and CR 425W, Leesburg. Vehicle rolled off the road. Driver: Chase Holbrook, 22, Deerwood Court, Warsaw. Injury: Holbrook complained of pain to his head. Damage: $2,500 to $5,000. Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated.



Property Damage Accidents

• 11:36 a.m. Monday – Intersection of U.S. 30 westbound ramp and North Detroit Street, Warsaw. Two-vehicle collision. Drivers: Jeremy Lowe, 37, Middleport, Ohio; Jack Simson, 46, CR 300N, Warsaw. Damage: $10,000 to $25,000. WPD.

• 12:12 p.m. Monday – Intersection of East Center and North Hickory streets, Warsaw. Two-vehicle collision. Drivers: Virgil Hale,  CR 400S, Pierceton; Brittni Elrod, 20, Nancy Drive, Warsaw. Damage: $5,000 to $10,000. WPD.

• 3:12 p.m. Monday – Intersection of East Market and Scott streets, Warsaw. Two-vehicle collision. Drivers: Russell Breske, 53, Country Club Road, Warsaw; Kristina Jones, 36,?Canterbury Lane, Warsaw. Damage: $1,000 to $2,500. WPD.

• 5:34 p.m. Monday – Intersection of North Detroit and East Canal streets, Warsaw. Three-vehicle collision. Drivers: Tyler Kidd, 19, West Jefferson Street, Mentone; Luke White, 26, Ind. 5, Larwill; Elaine Smith, 34, CR 900E, Pierceton. Damage: $5,000 to $10,000. WPD.

• 8:47 p.m. Monday – Intersection of CRs 600S and 400E, Warsaw. Car hit deer. Driver: Tiffany Bennett, 32, Main Street, Sidney. Damage: $2,500 to $5,000. KCSD.

• 3:12 a.m. Monday – Police responded to a report of a person making suicide theats in the 300 block of North Detroit Street,?Warsaw. WPD.

• 8:20 a.m. Monday – Police responded to a welfare check in the 1000 block of Rozella Road, Warsaw. WPD.

• 1:31 p.m. Monday – A employee reported theft of alcohol at EL Cielo in the 500 block of East?Winona Avenue, Warsaw. WPD.

Sheriff Addressed Issues In The Jail Since Taking Office
Once taking office I knew how important it was going to be to have the right leadership in every division of the office, and the jail was certainly no exception. Upon taking office, I appointed Lt. Kevin Gelbaugh as the jail commander and Chad Marsh as the assistant jail commander, and to say I am proud of all their work and accomplishments would be an understatement.
