Linda Lou Holterman, Winona Lake, passed away at 8:30 a.m. Sunday, May 21, 2017, at her residence at the age of 69.

She was born Aug. 17, 1947, in Fort Wayne, to Alice Alringer and Harold J. Schmidt. On July 10, 1972, she was married to Donald “Hose” William Elwood Holterman, who survives in Winona Lake.

Linda was a resident of Kosciusko County for the past 45 years and was a member of North Webster Church of God.

She was a 1965 graduate of North Side High School, Fort Wayne, then attended Ball State University for two years. She worked at the Holiday Inn of Warsaw for four years, and 15 years with Wawasee Community School Corp. In 2000 she began working as the data administrator for DePuy, Warsaw, until her retirement in 2010.

Linda was an avid golfer, member of Lambda Chi Omega sorority, and enjoyed spending time on the lake with her family. Most of all, Linda loved her family and her grandchildren.

She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 44 years, Donald Holterman, Winona Lake; two sons: Tony (wife Brooke) Holterman, Phoenix, Ariz., and Rod (wife Corrie) Holterman, Roanoke, Va.; and her daughter: Alicia (husband Scott) Whitaker, Winona Lake. Also surviving are 10 grandchildren: Tate, Mateya, Tregan, Mia, Caleb, Jacob, Taylor, Mason, Jocelyn and Addison; and her brother, David (wife Vicki) Schmidt, Fort Wayne.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her infant sister, Karen.

Visitation will be from 3-7 p.m. Thursday, May 25, at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Road, Warsaw.

Her funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Friday, May 26, at the funeral home, officiated by Pastor Jeff Boyer. Burial will follow with a graveside service at Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
