LEESBURG – Triton’s Spencer Johnson tied for fourth place individually with a 78, leading the Trojans to a fourth-place team finish in the Bob Turner Classic boys golf tournament at Tippecanoe Lake Country Club Monday.

Fort Wayne Dwenger won with a four-man score of 308, one shot better than Penn and six shots ahead of Fort Wayne Canterbury. Warsaw was fifth at 352 and Tippecanoe Valley was sixth at 376.

Isaac Walls posted an 82 for Triton, with Beau Hepler and Braden Kreft each shooting 86s. Bryce Swihart added an 87 for the Trojans.

The Tigers, using junior varsity players while the varsity team played in the reschedule Northern Lakes Conference championships, were led by Jacob LaLonde’s 85, Chase Byron’s 86 and Zach LaLonde’s 87.

Jeremy Julian had an 86 for Tippecanoe Valley, with Cade Brouyette shooting 93 and John Young a 96.

Triton will host Valley and Bremen at Rozella Ford on Thursday. The Tigers and  Vikings will play in the LaVille Invitational Saturday.
