County Jail Bookings

 The following people were preliminarily charged and booked into the Kosciusko County Jail.

• 6 p.m. Friday – Jodi Ann Pruitt, 47, of 404 N. High St., Silver Lake, arrested for probation violation. No bond set.

• 1:20 a.m. Saturday – Marty Lee Slabaugh, 53, of 1953 E. CR 1100N, Milford, arrested for operating a motor vehicle  while intoxicated and possession of marijuana. Bond: $700.

• 3:47 a.m. Saturday – Ethan Michael House, 19, of 1105 E. Wellington Drive, Warsaw, arrested for failure to appear. Bond: $183.50

• 9:53 a.m. Saturday  – Levi Matthew Klosowski, 19, of 1105 E. Wellington Drive, arrested for contributing to the delinquency of a minor. Bond: $500.

• 10:02 a.m. Saturday – Ethan Michael House, 19, of 1105 E. Wellington Drive, Warsaw arrested for contributing to the delinquency of a minor.  Bond: $600.

• 10:29 p.m. Saturday – Daniel James Triesch, 43, of 11417 S. Country Farm Road, Silver Lake, arrested for operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated, Bond: $700.

• 5:47 a.m. Sunday – Isaac Dale Yoder,24, of 3441 S. CR 950W, Mentone, arrested for operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated and refusal to submit to a chemical test. Bond: $700.

• 6:59 a.m. Sunday – Stephanie Darlene Baker, 41, Elkhart,  arrested for possession of a syringe for a legend drug and two counts of driving while suspended. Bond: $5,700.

• 7:04 a.m. Sunday – Vince Roger Wright, 35, of 3699 CR 175E, Warsaw, arrested for check deception and possession of a syringe for a legend drug. Bond: $5,431.33.



Property Damage Accidents

• 1:45 a.m. Saturday – Intersection of CRs 350N and 100E, Warsaw. Car hit utility pole. Driver: Kassandra Roberts, 23, East Fort Wayne Street, Warsaw. Damage: $1,000 to $2,500. Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated.

• 9:33 a.m. Saturday – Intersection of Ind. 13 and East Vawter Park Road, Syracuse. Two-vehicle collision. Drivers: Lucas Hunter, 20, Shipshewana; Joshua Tucco, 20, Sleepy Hollow Parkway, Cromwell. Damage: $2,500 to $5,000. KCSD. 

• 2:52 p.m. Saturday – Intersection of Ind. 15 and CR 1300S, Silver Lake. Car hit deer. Driver: Jennifer Lauro, 42, Peru Ind. Damage: $1,000 to $2,500. KCSD.

• 3:26 p.m. Saturday – Intersection of CRs 800W and 1275S, Akron. Car hit deer. Driver: Trisha Prater, 34, CR 800W, Akron. Damage: $2,500 to $5,000. KCSD.

• 8:40 p.m. Saturday – Intersection of Ind. 14 and CR 700W, Silver Lake. Car struck a utility pole. Driver: Daniel Triesch, 43, Country Farm Road, Silver Lake. Damage: $10,000 to $25,000. KCSD.

• 7 a.m. Sunday – Intersection of Old 30 and CR 800W, Warsaw. Car hit deer. Driver: Kara Edwards, 30, CR 575N, Leesburg. Damage: $2,500 to $5,000. KCSD. 

• 9:46 a.m. Sunday – Intersection of East Huntington Street and South Dixie Drive, North Webster. Driver: Charles Harris, 50, Bridge Court, Syracuse. Damage: $1,000 to $2,500. North Webster Police Department investigated. 



Incidents 

• 7:02 a.m. Saturday – A person reported criminal mischief in Krebs Trailhead Park, Warsaw. Warsaw Police Department  investigated

• 9:31 a.m. Saturday – A person  turned in a bag of  knives found in the 500 block of Winona Avenue. WPD.

• 4:27 p.m. Saturday – A CVS employee reported two shelving carts on wheels were turned over in the parking lot WPD.

• 7:17 p.m. Saturday – A  Meijer employee reported a theft in the 1200 block of Lake City Highway, Warsaw. WPD. 

• 4:39 a.m. Sunday – A Steak ’n Shake employee reported someone left without paying in the 2400 block of Jalynn Street, Warsaw. WPD.

• 9:39 p.m. Sunday – A person reported a smashed window at Warsaw Community High School, 1 Tiger Lane, Warsaw. WPD.

Sheriff Addressed Issues In The Jail Since Taking Office
Once taking office I knew how important it was going to be to have the right leadership in every division of the office, and the jail was certainly no exception. Upon taking office, I appointed Lt. Kevin Gelbaugh as the jail commander and Chad Marsh as the assistant jail commander, and to say I am proud of all their work and accomplishments would be an understatement.
