Trails Director To Speak At Calvary UMC

SYRACUSE — Syracuse-Wawasee Trails Executive Director Megan McClellan will speak at Calvary Connections at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at Calvary United Methodist Church.

The topic of the program is "Happy Trails to You." McClellan will update the community on the progress of trails projects and discuss her experiences. The program is open to the public.

The church is at 801 S. Huntington St., Syracuse. For more information, call 574-457-3778.



Port-A-Pit Chicken Will Be Sold Saturday

God's Highway To Heaven Church will sell Nelson’s Port-A-Pit chicken Saturday at Owen's, 2211 E. Center St., Warsaw.

Chicken will be sold from 9 a.m. until sold out. Cost is $6.50 a half and $3.50 for Pit-tatoes. Some chops will be available for $6.50 each.

Port-A-Pit Fundraiser Friday, Saturday

A Nelson’s Port-A-Pit fundraiser is planned this weekend to benefit Cumberland Mountain Outreach in Kentucky.

The event will be from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. or until sold out Friday and Saturday at JB’s Furniture, 2101 E. Center St., Warsaw.

Chicken will be $7 and Pit-Tatoes will be $4 both days. On Saturday, offerings will include pork chops for $7 and Amish fried pies for $4 each or three for $10.



Gospel Concert Sunday At Riverview

Tippecanoe — A gospel concert featuring Allegiance of Nashville, Tenn., is planned for 6 p.m. Sunday at Riverview Community Church.

Allegiance has been featured on the Gospel Greats, Gospel Music Today and SGNScoops Magazine. They were nominated by Singing News Magazine as one of the Top 10 New Trios and were nominated for the Sunrise Award (best new group) at the Diamond Awards.

There is no admission charge for the concert, but a love offering will be collected.

The church is at 3780 Ind. 110, Tippecanoe.



Vocalist Will Perform Sunday In Atwood

ATWOOD — Dan McCraw will give a concert at 9 a.m. Sunday at Atwood Christian Fellowship.

McCraw, from Enterprise, Fla., is a vocalist and keyboard artist who has been traveling and sharing his faith for 47 years. His concerts blend keyboard orchestrations and singing with soundtracks he and his family made in their recording studio.

He has given concerts and taken part in seminars and crusades in Brazil and throughout Asia.

Atwood Christian Fellowship is at 206 S. Prairie St., Atwood.

Park Event Will Give Food To Those In Need

claypool — Evangelist Justine Megething will speak in a service at 3 p.m. Saturday at Richardson Park, Warsaw.

A meal will follow the service, and small bags of food will be given to those in need.

The service is planned by Community Care Ministries and Early Apostolic Bible Training Center, Claypool.

Richardson Park is on Market Street near Dollar General, Warsaw.



Inside Sale Planned At Highway To Heaven

God’s Highway to Heaven Church, Warsaw, 555 Webber St., is planning an inside sale and some individual sales May 25-27.

Hours for the sale are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. May 25-26 and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. May 27. Food will also be sold.

Anyone who has good clean items they wish to donate to the sale may call Judy at 574-267-4061.



All-You-Can-Eat Breakfast Will Be Saturday

An all-you-can-eat breakfast is planned from 8-11 a.m. Saturday at Victory Rock.

The breakfast will include gravy, biscuits, apples, eggs and bacon. Freewill donations will be accepted.

A bake sale is also planned.

The church is at 6170 S. CR 500E, Warsaw.

Warsaw Ends Regular Season With Comeback Win Against Valley
The latest edition of what is undoubtedly the biggest cross-county rivalry was doozy.
