SYRACUSE — Paula O. Ryman, 74, Syracuse, passed away at 6 p.m. Thursday, May 11, 2017, at her home. 

She was born Jan. 9, 1943, in Robbinsville, N.C., to Paul and Thelma Cook Colvard. 

She attended high school in Robbinsville and moved to the Syracuse area in 1972 from Albion. She was married Aug 30, 1980, in Syracuse, to Tommy L. Ryman, who survives. 

She retired from Dana Corp. (formerly Weatherhead Corp.), Syracuse, after 20+ years.

She was a member of the Eagles Lodge, Albion, and attended Wawasee Lakeside Chapel, Syracuse. 

She is survived by her husband, Tommy Ryman, Syracuse; two daughters, Tami (Sam) Coquillard and Kimberly Granger, both of Syracuse; three stepdaughters: Lynn (Dennis) Green and Barbara Hudson, both of Warsaw, and Vicki Ryman, Modesto, Calif.; two grandchildren, Stefanie Coburn, Fort Wayne, and Samantha Coquillard, Cedar Rapids, Iowa; seven great-grandchildren; and several stepgrandchildren and stepgreat-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; stepdaughter, Teri Moreira; stepson, Steven Ryman; and brother, Homer Colvard. 

Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Monday, May 15, at Owen Family Funeral Home, 1001 S. Huntington St., Syracuse. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 16, at the funeral home, with Pastor Harlan Steffen of Wawasee Lakeside Chapel officiating. Burial will follow in Syracuse Cemetery.
