Don C. Fleming Jr., 83, Warsaw, passed away at 2:10 p.m. Wednesday, May 10, at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne.

Don was born Sept. 25, 1933, in Gary, to Don C. Fleming Sr. and his wife, Lillian Elsie Richardson Fleming. He graduated from nearby Portage High School in 1952. He was also a 1956 graduate of Purdue University, earning a Bachelor’s Degree in industrial psychology.

On Oct. 23, 1953, Don was united in marriage to Charlotte Ann Johnson in Portage. Although the two had been together since seventh grade, they shared 63 years as a married couple. Charlotte survives in Warsaw.

Don had been employed at RR Donnelley and Sons for 37 years and served as the vice president division director of the Warsaw division; Spartanburg, S.C. division; and the Dwight, Ill., division before retiring to Warsaw in 1993.

Don enjoyed Purdue sports, particularly basketball and football. He enjoyed playing golf and working on crossword puzzles but especially enjoyed watching his great-grandsons play soccer, basketball, rugby and football. Don loved time spent poolside with his family.

In addition to his wife, Charlotte Fleming, those who survive include three daughters: Dawn Kindle and Naia (Bill Bockman) Fleming-Bockman, both of Warsaw, and Krista (Glenn) Albertini, Champaign, Ill.; and a granddaughter, Jaime (Dane) Bause, and two great-grandsons, Reese and Camden Bause, all of Warsaw.

Don’s parents preceded him in passing.

The family will receive friends to share memories and for a time of visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, May 15, in Titus Funeral Home, 2000 E. Sheridan St., Warsaw.

A funeral service that celebrates his life will take place at noon Tuesday in the funeral home. Pastor Denny Wilson of Warsaw Community Church will officiate, with burial to follow in Oakwood Cemetery.
