Community Meal Tuesday At Sacred Heart

A community meal will be offered from 5:30-7 p.m. Tuesday in the Sacred Heart Church gym.

This month’s meal will feature pulled pork and shredded chicken barbecue sandwiches, black bean and corn salad, chips, fresh fruit and a variety of desserts.

There is no charge.   

All in the community are welcome. Anyone with questions may call 574-267-5842.



Gospel Hill Bake Sale Planned Saturday

SILVER LAKE — Gospel Hill Pentecostal Church of God, Silver Lake, will have a bake sale Saturday at Big R, Warsaw.

The sale will begin at 9 a.m. and go until sold out.



The Taylors In Concert At Riverview

TIPPECANOE — Brother-sister trio The Taylors will be in concert Sunday at Riverview Community Church.

Jonathan, Suzanne and Chris Taylor are entering their 10th year in southern gospel. They have received awards from the National Quartet Convention and The Singing News. They perform 200 dates a year across North America, Sweden, Norway and the United Kingdom.

The concert will begin at 6 p.m. There is no admission charge, but a love offering will be collected.

The church is at 3780 Ind. 110, Tippecanoe.

Jonah Club Fish Fry Planned May 19

NORTH MANCHESTER — The North Manchester Congregational Church will host its annual Jonah Club Fish Fry on May 19.  

The meal will include fish, slaw, applesauce, bread and drink. Indoor serving lines for all-you-can-eat dining will be open from 4:30-7 p.m. Carry-out lines will be open from 4-6:30 p.m. in the west parking lot of the church.  

Tickets for adults are $8 in advance and $9 at the door. All tickets for children ages 6-10 are $5.  Children 5 and younger are free.

Proceeds from the fish fry will support missions projects supported by the church, including sending the mission team to Piedmont, Ga. The annual fish fry is one of the major fundraising efforts for the team.  

The church is on the corner of Fourth and Walnut streets in North Manchester.  



Rummage Sale Friday, Saturday In Burket

BURKET — Burket United Methodist Church is having a rummage sale Friday and Saturday.

The sale will be from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and 8 a.m. to noon Saturday. After 11 a.m. Saturday, visitors can pay $1 for everything they can fit in a bag.

All proceeds go to mission projects.

The church is at 102 S. Market St., Burket.



Cancer Benefit Dinner Planned Saturday

A cancer benefit dinner for Rita Charles is planned at 4 p.m. Saturday at Pentecostal Lighthouse, 125 W Fawley St., Warsaw.

The event will include dinner, a bake sale, popcorn, cotton candy and gospel singing. Everyone is welcome.
