By Staff Report-

A Warsaw man was arrested Tuesday night after allegedly shooting a firearm at a vehicle, according to a news release from the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department.

KCSD deputies responded Tuesday at approximately 8:47 p.m. to a 911 call and text related to a possible shooting incident at 1544 W. CR 400N, Warsaw. Officers arrived and met with the homeowner, Aaron Michael Phillips, 35, along with two juveniles from inside the residence.

Investigators believe that during the course of the evening, a verbal argument ensued to a point that Rhonda Harrington, 34, Nappanee, had contacted Rodney I. Fuller Jr. 50, Nappanee, to come to the CR 400N residence to assist her with leaving. As Harrington was inside Fuller’s vehicle preparing to leave, Phillips allegedly fired two shots from a handgun into an unknown direction. As the Fuller pickup truck then began to pull away, Phillips then discharged the weapon again, but this time firing at the vehicle and striking the passenger front window, causing it to shatter.

Deputies also were summoned to the parking lot directly in front of the KCSD. There, officers located a white Ford F-150 pickup truck, driven by Fuller, with Harrington as his passenger. Harrington was found to have injuries from broken glass in her eye and was transported to Kosciusko Community Hospital for treatment.

Officers stated that various witness statements, along with evidence that was secured, led detectives to arrest and preliminarily charge Phillips with felony criminal recklessness with a deadly weapon.

Phillips currently is being held in the Kosciusko County Jail on a $5,250 bond.
