NORTH MANCHESTER — Herb Chinworth, 97, North Manchester, died May 3, 2017.

He was born April 17, 1920, in Warsaw, to Augustus and Lockie Double Chinworth. He was married to Arlene Clara Wegener, who died in 2015.

He graduated from Warsaw High School and served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was promoted to lieutenant in 1945.

 A memorial service is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. May 13 in the chapel of Timbercrest Retirement Community, 2201 East St., North Manchester.  

Arrangements were entrusted to McKee Mortuary, North Manchester.
