Da-Lite will be adding full-time positions in manufacturing in addition to annual summer help in order to ramp up production for the construction season.
To help meet that need, the Warsaw company will conduct a job fair Thursday at its plant.
Each year, Da-Lite increases its workforce by 15 to 20 percent with summer help in order to meet the increased demands, but as the company experiences increased growth, 40 full-time positions are being added.
“Most of our products are made to order to meet the many unique demands that our customers may have. They want a quality product made in the USA with a short lead time,” said Jim Gillum, director of operations. “We are seeing sustained long-term growth in addition to a business ramp up earlier this year, and with several recent product launches, we want to make sure we are ready.”
Da-Lite employees also experienced an increased starting wage.
“We want to ensure we are getting the right candidates in the door,” said Tarina Agler, manager of human resources.
“We will be adding a shift to keep up with the growth the organization is experiencing. We are looking for general production employees, but we are also in need of welders, CNC operators, press operators, forklift drivers and a maintenance electrician,” Agler said.
The organization will be hiring first-, second- and third-shift employees with shift premiums for second and third shift. Compensation is based on experience and skill set, and starting wages for basic production are $13 an hour with an additional quarterly bonus as well as a progression options.
Full-time employees will receive a comprehensive and competitive benefits package to assist with all aspects of wellness. Health and financial benefits include medical, dental, vision and prescription drug coverage with a 24-hour nurse line, tobacco cessation program and employee assistance program.
The company’s 401(k) plan includes a safe harbor match for employees who  choose to participate.
Interested candidates can apply online at www.milestone.com or by emailing [email protected].
