 The following people were preliminarily charged and booked into the Kosciusko County Jail.  
• 11:38 a.m. Monday – Daniel Lee Hollett, 32, of 752 E. CR 300N, Warsaw, arrested for domestic battery in the presence of a child. Bond: $5,250.
• 2:29 p.m. Monday – James Anthony?Brewer, 39, homeless, arrested on three counts of failure to appear. Bond: $1,800. 
• 3 p.m. Monday – Harrison James Light, 20, Wabash, arrested for failure to appear. No bond set. 
• 3:30 p.m. Monday – Gianna Lusie Harshaw, 20, Kendallville, arrested for failure to appear. No bond set. 
• 3:54 p.m. Monday – Brad Alan Baker, 29, of 1114 N. CR 775W, Cromwell, arrested for failure to appear. No bond set. 
• 7:50 p.m. Monday – Jeffery Dale Looney, 41, Goshen, arrested for failure to appear. Bond: $283.
• 8:12 p.m. Monday – Charles David Shepherd, 27, of 9639 E. Seneca Lane, Cromwell, arrested for failure to appear. Bond: $600.
• 8:21 p.m. Monday – Thomas Ray Pickerill, 46, of 8280 E. U.S. 30, #80, Pierceton, arrested for domestic battery. Bond: $600.
• 9:08 p.m. Monday – Cassie Lee Walters, 37, of 138 N. First St., #C, Pierceton, arrested for failure to appear. Bond: $204.92.
• 10:35 p.m. Monday – Vanessa Eileen Arnold, 21, of 318 W. Spring St., #9, Etna Green, arrested for possession of a narcotic. Bond: $5,250.
• 10:53 p.m. Monday – Brandy Hull,  35, Columbia City, arrested for operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated and failure to stop after an accident. Bond: $15,000.
•2:39 a.m. today – Charles Leon Clements, 43, of 619 W. Jefferson St., Apt. B, Warsaw, arrested for failure to stop after an accident causing a bodily injury. Bond: $500.

• 10:31 p.m. Monday – 619 Jefferson St., Warsaw. Pedestrian tried to grab driver, driver put the car in gear and the pedestrian was hurt as the car began to move. Driver: Charles Clements, 43, Jefferson Street, Warsaw. Injury: Sarah Masterson, 25, Jefferson Street, Warsaw, the pedestrian, was taken to the hospital with injuries to her face, shoulder and knee. Damage: None. Warsaw Police Department investigated.

• 10:22 a.m. Monday – 105 E. Main St., Warsaw. Car hit parked vehicle, registration information not provided. Driver: Ulysses Francis, 74, West Market Street, Warsaw. Damage: $1,000 to $2,500. WPD.
• 4:33 p.m. Monday – Intersection of Lake City Highway and Old 30, Warsaw. Two-vehicle collison. Drivers: Brittany Ianucilli, 25, CR 250W, South Whitley; Fredric Brouwer, 77, Nottingham Place, Winona Lake. Damage: $2,500 to $5,000. WPD.

• 3:54 p.m. Sunday – Police investigated a suspicious substance at Kosciusko Community Hospital. WPD. 
• 5:11 p.m. Sunday – A resident reported a theft of a laptop in the 1000 block of East Market Street, Warsaw. WPD.
• 9:11 p.m. Sunday – A resident reported windows broken out in her RV in the 9600 block of Genesee Lane, Cromwell. Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated.
• 10:09 p.m. Sunday – A resident reported an incident of battery in the 1100 block of East Wellington Drive, Warsaw. KCSD. 
• 10:09 p.m. Sunday – A resident reported the theft of a Kubota Excavator in the 1500 block of CR 300N, Warsaw. KCSD. 
• 10:54 p.m. Sunday – A resident reported the violation of a protective order in the 900 block of North First Street, Pierceton. KCSD.
• 2:32 p.m. Monday – A resident reported a fraud in the 400 block of Charles Street, Winona Lake. Winona Lake Police Department investigated. 
• 11:18 Monday – A United Deli employee reported an attempted bulgary in the 7400 block of East Old 30, Pierceton. Pierceton Police Department investigated.

Sheriff Addressed Issues In The Jail Since Taking Office
Once taking office I knew how important it was going to be to have the right leadership in every division of the office, and the jail was certainly no exception. Upon taking office, I appointed Lt. Kevin Gelbaugh as the jail commander and Chad Marsh as the assistant jail commander, and to say I am proud of all their work and accomplishments would be an understatement.
