GAS CITY — Dorothy Lucille Gore, 96, died Jan. 21, 2017, in Indianapolis. 
Born May 23, 1920, in Marion, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Anna Deihl Russell, and she married Chester M. Gore in 1939.
A very hard worker all of her life, she worked at several jobs and locations, including Deluxe Coil, B. Walters and Gore’s Nursing Home. She retired from Owens-Illinois/Kimble Glass and then worked at Penguin Point Drive-in in Warsaw until her 80s. 
She is survived by her brother, Ron (spouse Dixie) Russell, Fairmount; daughter, Judith Engledow, Wabash; son, Steven (spouse Joan) Gore, Indianapolis; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and other relatives.
She was preceded by her parents; husband; brother, Kenneth Russell; sister, Cleophia (Cecil “Buck”) Poulson; daughter, Lucinda “Cindy” Jane Gore; and son-in-law, Jack Engledow.
A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, Storey Chapel, 400 E. Main St, Gas City. A graveside service will follow at Riverside Cemetery, Gas City. 
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, from 10 to 11 a.m.
