Once again our Indiana General Assembly has proposed another “regressive tax” that will only hurt people with low or fixed incomes. A regressive tax is basically paying a higher percentage of their income than someone with a higher income. I’m talking about the gas and tobacco tax.
Not everybody will even pay the gas tax, if someone drives a company vehicle or they may take a business expense tax on their federal and state income tax. I know that life isn’t fair, but why is it certain people always get the short end of the stick?
I wish that the General Assembly would help all Hoosiers instead of a select few.

Understanding Qualified Charitable Distributions (QCDs) And Using Them
Individual Retirement Accounts (IRAs) are for people over the age of 70.5 years old.
