NORTH MANCHESTER — Ralph “Sonny” James, 77, North Manchester, died at 12:43 p.m. March 18, 2017,                               in Visiting Nurse & Hospice Home, Fort Wayne. 
He was born Aug. 26, 1939, in Hornersville, Mo., to Jesse James and Mittie Williams. He was married to Sally Conrad on July 19, 1969. She survives. 
He served in the U.S. Army from 1961 to 1964.  
Calling will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at McKee Mortuary, 1401 Ind. 114W., North Manchester.
The funeral service is being planned. 
Burial will be in Oaklawn Cemetery, North Manchester.
