 The following people were preliminarily charged and booked into the Kosciusko County Jail. 
• 12 p.m. Thursday –Gilberto Meza, 27, of 1891 W. CR 700S, Claypool, arrested for home improvement fraud. Bond: $5,250.
• 2: 22 p.m. Thursday – Justin Chase Peters, 24, of 104 N. Main St., South Whitley, arrested for theft. Bond: $5,250.
• 2:31 p.m. Thursday – Ocxiel Sanchez, 20, of 2938 E. Joshua Drive, Warsaw, arrested for driving while suspended. Bond: $450. 
• 3:14 p.m. Thursday – Tyler Matthew McDowell, 24, of 4027 E. CR 450N #19, Leesburg, arrested for failure to appear. No bond set. 
• 6:31 p.m. Thursday – James Paul Grothaus, 23, of 2764 S. Southwood Drive, Warsaw, arrested for two counts for failure to appear. No bond set. 
• 6:48 p.m. Thursday – Dwayne Leroy Donaldson, 26, Fort Wayne, arrested for possession of a look a like substance. Bond: $450. 
• 7:03 p.m. Thursday – Ethan David Jesse, 27, of 4547 E. Fox Run Road, Syracuse, arrested for residential entry, resisting law enforcement and disorderly conduct. Bond: $6,000. 
• 7:28 p.m. Thursday – Donald Lee Chichester, 42, of 4112 E. CR 450N, Leesburg, arrested for battery and disorderly conduct. $600. 
• 9:08 p.m. Thursday – Anthony Allan Spaulding, 33, of 245 Pimlico Drive, arrested on a civil warrant. Bond: $500.
• 1:12 a.m. today – Steven Michael Smith, Wawaka, 33, arrested for disorderly conduct. Bond: $300. 
• 2:07 a.m. today Thursday – Joseph Phillip Gerber, 36, of 8575 E. CR 175N, Pierceton, arrested for  possession of meth. Bond: $5,250.
•3:59 a.m. today Thursday – Aaron Robert Marshall, 33, of 777 N. CR 800W, Warsaw, arrested for failure to appear. No bond set.

•7:32 a.m. Thursday – Intersection of South Union Street and Lakeland Drive, Warsaw. Two-vehicle collision. Drivers: Shanker Krishiann, 26, Lakeland Drive, Warsaw; Megan Fisher, 37, Kinney Drive, Warsaw. Damage: $1,000 to $2,500. Warsaw Police Department investigated. 
• 4:14 p.m. Thursday – Intersection of Silveus Crossing and Lake City Highway, Warsaw. Two-Vehicle collision. Drivers: Kathleen Monesmith, 61, Ind. 10, Bourbon; Dyllion Cole, 19, Hoffman Lake, Warsaw. Damage $1,000 to $2,500. WPD.

•9:36 a.m. Thursday – A resident reported a stolen cell phone from a gas station in the 600 block of Buffalo Street, Warsaw. WPD. 
• 10:16 p.m. Thursday – An attempted bulgary  in the 2500 block Walton Boulevard,?Warsaw WPD.

Sheriff Addressed Issues In The Jail Since Taking Office
Once taking office I knew how important it was going to be to have the right leadership in every division of the office, and the jail was certainly no exception. Upon taking office, I appointed Lt. Kevin Gelbaugh as the jail commander and Chad Marsh as the assistant jail commander, and to say I am proud of all their work and accomplishments would be an understatement.
