SYRACUSE — June Louise Baker Auer, 96, Syracuse, passed away March 1, 2017, at her home. 
She was born Sept. 3, 1920, in North Webster, to Harold and Helen Browne Baker. She was a 1938 graduate of North Webster High School. On Dec. 30, 1940, she married Nelson Auer, who preceded her in 2008. 
She owned and operated a beauty shop in North Webster before she and Nelson moved to Syracuse. Over the years she was a member of Mother's Club, Wednesday Afternoon Club, Eastern Star and the American Legion Auxiliary. 
She was an avid golfer and longtime member of Maxwelton Golf Club. For over 25 years she wintered in Lake Placid, Fla., enjoying golf and warm breezes. 
She is survived by her daughter, Janice (son-in-law Dave) Wright; sister-in-law, Helen Baker; two nieces; and four nephews. 
She was preceded by her husband; parents; and two brothers, Richard and Gary Baker. 
A private graveside service is planned. 
Eastlund Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
