By Staff Report-
While there will be fire pits outside to keep warm, Paula Bowman, downtown events coordinator, said the emphasis will be inside individual stores in the business district.
First Friday runs from 5 to 9 p.m.
The event is a chance to visit some of the new stores that have recently opened, Bowman said.
Among the changes in the downtown is the arrival of Books, Wine and Dogs, Meraki Collectibles and Reecer Properties. Lakes Area Promotional Specialties recently moved from Market Street to Center Street.
Stores around the Kosciusko County Courthouse will have discounts, and there will be a drawing for a huge basket of items from the downtown merchants.
There also will be vendors spread around the downtown area, she said.
This is the eighth year for the city event.
Bowman said they have had merchant themes in the past and decided to bring it back this year.
