Last Monday Euchre Club

The Last Monday Euchre Club met at the Warsaw Senior Center on June 26. High winner was Arlene Brooke, most lones was Linda Hatfield and Bonnie Jagodzinki, and low was Mary Lou Laurino.  

The next meeting will be at 12:30 p.m. July 31 at the Senior Center.



Wednesday Afternoon

Ladies Bridge

The group met June 21 at Tippecanoe Lake Country Club.

Winners were Mary Morgan and Sara Austin. Morgan was hostess.



Four Seasons Ladies Bridge

The group gathered June 28 at the Great Wall, Warsaw.

Winners were Peg Zimmerman, Sharon Tuttle, Sharon Holtz and Barb Callahan. Beth Huffer was hostess.



Daughters Of The

American Revolution

Agnes Pruyn Chapman DAR met June 27 at the Senior Center in Warsaw with 10 members and 10 guests present.

Following a carry-in dinner, Regent Kathy Gawthrop introduced seven guests from the Kosciusko Co. Carving Club. They presented an interesting program explaining what they do and showed examples of their work. There are four kinds of carving methods: round, relief, chip and woodburning. Some club members have won many first-place ribbons at the county fair.

Chaplain Kay Ritter conducted a memorial service for two  deceased members, Janet Bartol Scherzinger and Mary Ettinger.

The district meeting will be Aug. 11 in North Manchester. Gawthrop needs reservations by July 27 to meet the deadline. She also had information from the state conference.  Thanks to Paulene Holderman, the chapter won an excellence award for its program books.

The next meeting will be at noon Aug. 22 at Richards Restaurant, Warsaw.

Membership in Daughters  of the American Revolution is open to any woman who had an ancestor who fought in or aided the patriot cause during the American Revolution. Contact  Gawthrop at 260-982-7055 with any questions.



Wednesday Night Bridge Group

The group had an all-time high of nine tables June 28, with the following winners: John Stewart, Charlie Ker, Elaine Tripp, Dorothy Herring, Joan Kizer, Mike Herring, Nannette Newland, Liz Frazzetta, Carol Pringle and Jan Chiddister.  

Janet and John Wagley are hostess and host for July.



Pizza King Bridge Group

The Pizza King Bridge group met June 29 with Beth Huffer as hostess.

The winners were Mary Eherenman, Evelyn Marsh and Sharon Tuttle.

All bridge players are welcome to come and play at 10 a.m. on Thursdays. For more information, call 574-269-7336.



N. Webster Community Center SPEC

NORTH WEBSTER — The bridge winners for June 29 at the Senior Prime Enrichment Center have been announced.

Dick Roby was first and Mary Kay Roby was second.



Singles Meeting Friends

The group enjoyed three tables of card games at its June 28 get-together.

Members discussed activities planned for this weekend, including where fireworks will be.

Betty is doing well after her surgery and will be having therapy. Mary is waiting on instructions for her cancer treatments.

Any singles are welcome to join the group at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday in the upstairs dining room at Martin’s Super Market, Warsaw.
