NMPD Warns Of Counterfeit $20 Bills

NORTH MANCHESTER?— The North Manchester Police Department is warning area businesses of counterfeit bills circulating the area.

Police warn the counterfeit pen many businessess use will not work on these bills.

NMPD have received a report of five counterfeit $20 bills from local businesses in the last week, according to a news release from the department.

Police say the bills’ paper has the right feel, weight,  printing and different serial numbers.

When put under an ultra light, the security strip on the bill shows blue instead of green.

Anyone who receives one of these bills should call NMPD at 260-982-8555.
