Community Hog Roast Planned Saturday

MENTONE — Palestine Bible Church will host its annual community hog roast from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Saturday.

Everyone is invited to join the congregation and Pastor Rick Stewart for a meal under the tent on the church lawn.

Palestine Bible Church is at 3226 S. CR 550W, Mentone, halfway between Mentone and Warsaw on Ind. 25 in Palestine.  

The church is an independent, nondenominational, fundamental church that believes the Bible is the only standard of faith and practice for those who believe in Jesus Christ and for his church. Sunday school begins at 9:30 a.m., followed by the worship service at 10:30 a.m. The Sunday evening service starts at 6.

Port-A-Pit Fundraiser Friday At JB’s

A Nelson’s Port-A-Pit fundraiser is planned Friday in Warsaw.

The sale will be from 11 a.m. until 6 p.m. or until sold out at JB’s Furniture, 2101 E. Center St., Warsaw. Chicken and pork chops will be $7 and Pit-Tatoes will be $4.

Proceeds will go to a Guatemala missions fundraiser.



Koorey To Speak At New Beginnings

Pastor Bryan Koorey will be ministering at 10 a.m. Sunday at New  Beginnings Church and World Outreach.

Revivalists To Minister?In Sunday Services

Morning Star Foursquare Church invites the public to experience an outpouring of the Holy Spirit this weekend.

Special guests, revivalists Virgil and Wanda Long, will minister in the 9:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. services Sunday at the church.

The church is at 2506 Ind. 15S, Warsaw. For more information, call 574-527-4305.



Kopkey Guest Musician At Lakeside Service

LEESBURG — Holly Kopkey will be the guest musician Sunday at the lakeside service held by Leesburg United Methodist Church.

Kopkey has sung at the lakeside service for many years. She and her husband, Nick, have two daughters.

The service will begin at 8:30 a.m. at Patona Bay on Tippecanoe Lake. Guests may come by boat, kayak or canoe and anchor in front of Patona Bay. Those who join the service on land should bring a chair.

If it rains, the service will move to the boathouse on the property.

Leesburg UMC also holds services at 9:30 a.m. Sunday at its building in Leesburg.



Singer-Songwriter At Trinity On Sunday

Dan Holmes will be at Trinity United Methodist Church on Sunday in the 9 a.m. service.

Holmes is an "old school” singer/songwriter bringing a Christian message of hope. Armed with an acoustic guitar, he creates music that celebrates what God is doing in, for and through believers.



Encompass World Partners Meeting July 26

The Grace Trust Inc., doing business as Encompass World Partners, will have its annual corporation meeting at 11:45 a.m. July 26.

The meeting will be at Grace Community Church of Fremont, 900 Smith Road, Fremont, Ohio. It is in conjunction with the Access 2017 Conference of the Fellowship of Grace Brethren Churches. All corporation members of The Grace Trust Inc. are encouraged to participate.
