BOURBON — John J. Wagoner, 72, Warsaw, passed away June 13, 2017, in Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne.

John was born the son of Raymond and Ellen Hill Wagoner on Dec. 11, 1944, in Warsaw. He grew up in Bourbon, graduated from Bourbon High School in 1963 and graduated from the University of Evansville with a bachelor’s degree.

He began his career in Bourbon at Biomet (OEC), then moved with Biomet as it transitioned to Warsaw in 1990. John was retired as a director of regulatory affairs for over 20 years.

His hobbies included spending time with his family, cooking, fishing, mowing lawn, the Chicago Bears and Big 10 college basketball, and he was a avid fan of Notre Dame football.

On May 2, 1998, he married Brenda Gallup, who survives along with four children: Scott (Jennifer) Wagoner, Lansing, Mich.; Angela (Mrs. Terry) Hile, Round Rock, Texas; Matthew (Lisa) Dolbee, Kailua, Hawaii; and Daniel (Alissa) Dolbee, Warsaw; along with 12 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a sister, Joyce (Mrs. Jim) Dunn, Tucson, Ariz.; and a brother, Richard (Jean) Wagoner, Springfield, Ohio.

John was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Nathan Dolbee.

The family will receive friends from 3-5 and 6-8 p.m. Monday in Deaton-Clemens Funeral Home, 115 S. Main St., Bourbon.

A funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home, with Pastor Jordan Muck officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Bourbon.
