ROYAL CENTER — Ronald C. Rees, 81, Logansport, passed away at 4:25 a.m. Monday, June 12, 2017, at Logansport Memorial Hospital. 

Born May 4, 1936, in Deal, England, he was the son of the late Edward C. and Sarah Thomas Chapman and his adopted parents, Morgan and Gwenllian Davies Rees. On Aug. 6, 1996, he married Kay “Kasie” Cohagan. 

Ronald served in the Medical Corps for the British Army prior to moving to the United States. 

Ronald worked for the Chicago Tribune for 15 years, then retired in 1993 as a Prudential life insurance agent. 

He was a member of River of Life Christian Church. Ronald was also a former member of Gideons International and the National Association of Securities Division. Ronald loved playing the piano and most of all spending time with his family. 

Survivors include his wife, Kay, Logansport; daughter, Susan Heck (Scott), Illinois; son, Michael Rees (Peggy), Warsaw; stepdaughter, Kayanne Murray, Rochester; stepson, Tom Clem (Elisa), Logansport; brother, Maurice Chapman (Barbara), New Zealand; sister, Mary Crawford (David), Wales; grandchildren, Roxanne, Jacob, Jordyn, Jarod, Nicci and Madyson; and great-grandchildren, Adam, Connor, Chloe, Machia, McKenna, Hagan and Blaine. 

He was also preceded in death by brother, Edwin; and sisters, Gwen and May. 

A celebration of life service will be held at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to Harrison-Metzger-Rans Funeral Homes, Royal Center Chapel.
