Ernest O. Richardson, 92, passed away at 1:13 p.m. Tuesday, June 13, 2017, in his home.

Ernest was born Oct. 16, 1924, in Prestonsburg, Ky. He was born to Grover Cleveland and Mary Brown Richardson. He was a 1942 graduate of Silver Lake High School.

On Nov. 15, 1953, Ernest was married to Bonnie J. Overmyer in Warsaw. They would share 60 years together until her passing Oct. 1, 2014.

Ernest honorably served his country, entering the United States Army, where he served during World War II with the 361st Infantry in Italy.

Having spent most of his lifetime in Warsaw, Ernest worked for both McKowns and K&B Auto Sales. He went on to work at R.R. Donnelley as a cylinder maker until he retired in August 1992. 

He was a faithful member of Life. Church. He loved being outside with nature. He was truly a loving father who loved his wife, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Survivors include two daughters, Lisa (Robert) Wehrly, Warsaw, and Cynthia (Robert) Edinger, Hoytville, Ohio. Also surviving are seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; four sisters: Earline (Royce) Engle and Geraldine Cox, both of Warsaw; Rosemary Roberts, South Bend; and Elby (Phyllis) Richardson, Evansville.

In addition to his wife, Bonnie J., who preceded Ernest in passing on Oct. 1, 2014, he was preceded by a brother, Bertchel Richardson, and his parents, Grover and Mary Richardson.

Burial will take place at a later date.

The staff of Titus Funeral Home considers it a privilege to care for the family and friends of Ernest O. Richardson.
