Violet Pearl Sparks was born at 12:43 a.m. June 8, 2017, in Goshen Hospital. She weighed 7 pounds, 15 ounces, and measured 19 inches.

Grandparents are Steve and Tami Norton, Mentone, and Lon and Peggy Sparks, Kalamazoo, Mich. Great-grandparents are Phyllis Zolman, Mentone; Betty Hayward, Delton, Mich.; and Nina Baker, Kalamazoo.

Violet joins a brother, Leo, 4.
