County Jail Bookings

 The following people were preliminarily charged and booked into the Kosciusko County Jail.

• 1:25 a.m. Thursday – Charles Edward Becklehimer, 57, of 201 E. Greenhaus Drive, #22, Syracuse, arrested for failure to appear to lawful detention, auto theft and failure to appear. Bond: $21,250.

•5:47 a.m. Thursday – Juan Alonzo, 33, of 505 N. First St., Pierceton, arrested for operating a motor vehicle without a license. Bond: $500.

•12:31 p.m. Thursday – Maximo Pedro Ybarra, 35, of 58 S. East Cannel Road, Warsaw, arrested for two counts of  parole violation. No bond.

• 3:22 p.m. Thursday – Justin Kenneth Pedler, 26, Elkhart, arrested for probation violation. No bond set. 

• 3:38 p.m. Thursday – David Jeremiah Gaff, 39, of 9565 E. Wawasee Lane, Syracuse, arrested for parole violation. No bond set.

• 4:20 p.m. Thursday – Elias Salazar, 25, Ligonier, arrested for probation violation. No bond set.

• 4:36 p.m. Thursday – Corddaroll Deante Hicks, Indianapolis, arrested for two counts of failure to pay. Bond: $967.

• 7:09 p.m. Thursday – Richard William Milton, 46, of 219 N. Walnut St., Etna Green, arrested for failure to appear. Bond: $135.

• 1:29 a.m. today – Sheldon Lee Lawrence, 24, of 3605 N. CR 700E, Warsaw, arrested for possession of meth and driving while suspended. Bond: $5,250.







Personal Injury Accident

• 5:13 a.m. today – Intersection of West Lake Street and Hepler Drive, Warsaw. Car-motorcycle collision. Drivers: Anita Kistler, 31, Wilson Street, Warsaw; Leroy Ditton, 43, Zimmer Road, Warsaw.  Ditton was taken to Kosciusko Community Hospital with pain to his entire body. Damage: $10,000 to $25,000. Warsaw Police Department investigated.



Property Damage Accidents

• 5:53 a.m. Thursday – 3600 block of Commerce Drive, Warsaw. Two-vehicle collision. Drivers: Roland Thompson, 64, Stroudsburg, Pa.; Roger Neely, 60, Cleveland, Texas. Damage: $5,000 to $10,000. WPD. 

• 12:57 p.m. Thursday – 2100 block of East Center Street, Warsaw. Car hit utility pole. Driver: Sarah Kirkham, 21, Clear Creek Trail, North Manchester. Damage: $2,500 to $5,000. WPD.

• 1:44 p.m. Thursday – 2200 block of East Center Street, Warsaw. Car hit parked vehicle registered to Adam Shepherd, First Street, Warsaw. Driver: Sarah Engel, 78, Fifth Street, Winona Lake. Damage: $1,000 to $2,500. WPD.



Incidents 

• 1:39 a.m. Thursday – Criminal mischief was reported in the 100 block of Main Street, Syracuse. Syracuse Police Department investigated.

• 9:15 a.m. Thursday – A person reported an incident of battery in the 3000 block of North CR 800W, Warsaw. Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated.

• 5:11 p.m. Thursday – A fraud was reported in the 1700 block of East Kosciusko Drive, Warsaw. KCSD.

• 5:14 p.m. Thursday – A juvenile was arrested for violating his probation in the 300 block of North Canal Street, Warsaw. WPD.
