Wednesday Night Bridge Group

The group had a season high of eight tables June 7, with the following winners: Liz Frazzetta, Annette Magner, Dorothy Herring, Sara Austin, Joan Kizer, Connie Ker, John Stewart,  Bob Mayer and Joan Earhart.

Janet and John Wagley are hostess and host for June.



Pizza King Bridge Group

The Pizza King bridge group met on Thursday with Ann Thallemer as hostess.   

Winners were Joan Kizer, Betty Walston, Dian Cartwright  and Edith Vitoux.



Four Seasons Ladies Bridge

The group met June 7 at the Great Wall, with Nanette Newland as hostess.

Winners were Peg Zimmerman, Sharon Holtz, Newland and Beth Hoffer.



Singles Meeting Friends

The group enjoyed many conversations and an evening of cards at its meeting this week. Betty was not at the meeting because of a scheduled shoulder surgery.

Members gathered Friday for cards and games.

The group meets at 6:30 p.m. Wednesdays in the dining area at Martin’s Super Market and at 7 p.m. the second Friday of every month for cards and games, also at Martin’s.

Altrusa Club

A new leadership team will take the local Altrusa Club into the organization’s second century.

The club installed officers at a banquet June 1, which marked the beginning of its fiscal year.

Officers are Bev Faulkner, president; Vicky Patterson and Martie Lennane, co-vice presidents; Beth Huffer, secretary; Jan Sloan, treasurer; and Vicki Martin, immediate past president and installing officer.

The club reports a strong start to the new year with the initiation of four new members: Julie Hall, Mary Garrett, Carol Vierling and Jacki Decker.

Members have begun planning for the annual Bingo for Beaman Home, scheduled for Oct. 19 at Vitale Events.

The local club has served the Kosciusko County area for 44 years.

Its next meeting will be at 5:30 p.m. July 6 at Richards Restaurant.



North Webster Community Center SPEC

NORTH WEBSTER — Bridge winners this week at the Senior Prime Enrichment Center have been announced:

On June 6, Mary Kay Roby was first and Dick Roby was second.

On June 8, winners were Mary Kay Roby, first, and Mike Wyrick, second.
