 The following people were preliminarily charged and booked into the Kosciusko County Jail.

• 9:28 a.m. Tuesday – Joseph Thompson, 32, of 10496 N. Green Ave., Syracuse, arrested for battery causing a bodily injury. Bond: $600.

• 11:06 a.m. Tuesday – Brandi Leigh Anderson, 31, Wolcottville, arrested on two counts of failure to appear. Bond: $747.

• 11:54 a.m. Tuesday – Amy Christine Eskridge, 32, of 201 E. Pittsburgh St., Syracuse, arrested for theft. Bond: $5,750.

• 12:28 p.m. Tuesday – David Michael Vela, 32, of 201 E. Pittsburgh St., Syracuse, arrested for possession of a narcotic with intent to deal and on four counts to failure to appear. Bond: $11,107.

• 2:29 p.m. Tuesday – John Mitchell Dimmitt, 36, of 519 W. Winona Ave.,  #D, Warsaw, arrested for domestic battery, two counts of failure to register as a sex or violent offender, and fraud on a financial institution. Bond: $7,750.

• 2:47 p.m. Tuesday  – Thomas Rodriguez. 26, of 604 W. Emeline St., Milford, arrested for driving while classified as a habitual traffic violater. Bond: $5,250.

• 4:27 p.m. Tuesday – Christopher Michael Spalding, 23, of 610 N. Thompson St., Bourbon, arrested for failure to appear. Bond: $389.50.

• 5:20 p.m. Tuesday – Shane Wesley Hallstrom, 23, of 13520 E. Ind. 114, Akron, arrested for possession of a syringe for a legend drug and possession of a narcotic. Bond: $5,250.



Personal Injury Accidents

• 11:45 a.m. Tuesday – Intersection of North Detroit and East Fort Wayne streets, Warsaw. Two-vehicle collison. Drivers: Tristan Mobley, 17, South Roosevelt Street, Warsaw; Jodie Irwin, 21, Country Club Road, Warsaw. Injury: Irwin was transported to Parkview Hospital with pain to her chest. Damage: $10,000 to $25,000. Warsaw Police Department investigated.

• 5:57 p.m. Tuesday – Intersection of Ind. 13 and CR 650E, Syracuse. Car hit tree. Driver: Danielle Hughes, 26, North Main Street, North Webster. Injury: Hughes complained of pain to her head. Damage: $5,000 to $10,000. Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated. 

 

Property Damage Accidents

• 4:40 p.m. Tuesday – Intersection of North Buffalo and East Market streets, Warsaw. Two-vehicle collision. Drivers: Thomas Brumfield, 72, CR 250S, Warsaw; Mark Merley, 59, Division Road, Akron. Damage: $2,500 to $5,000. WPD.

• 10 p.m. Tuesday – Intersection of North East Wawasee Drive and CR 1350N, Cromwell. Car hit deer. Driver: Jessica Hellner, 33, New Paris. Damage: $1,000 to $2,500. KCSD.



Incidents 

• 12:22 p.m Tuesday – A car hit the back of a front-end loader in the 900 block of Chapman Lake Drive, Warsaw. KCSD.

• 11:03 p.m. Tuesday – Police responded to a female who had overdosed in the 1000 block of Main Street, Warsaw. WPD.

• 11:33 p.m. Tuesday – A resident reported criminal mischief in the 600 block of Deerfield Path, Warsaw. WPD. 

• 1:16 a.m. today – Police responded to a report of juvenile runaway in the 300 block of South Lake Street, Warsaw. WPD.
