July 28, 2017 at 4:50 p.m.

By Staff Report-

SILVER LAKE – Kerlin Motor Company & Kerlin Tractor are partnering for the inaugural Car & Tractor Show featuring nine decades of Ford automotive history beginning with models as far back as 1927.

The event is from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday.

Kerlin Motor Company is one of the oldest family owned Ford dealerships in the nation and won more Ford customer service awards than any other dealer nation-wide, according to a news release from the company.

Family-owned businesses turning 90 are rarities in todays’ business landscape, which makes the car and tractor show a very special event.

The entry fee is a non-perishable item for the Silver Lake food pantry.

Registration for the car and tractor show is 8 a.m. to noon.  Judging will be from noon until 3 p.m.  An awards presentation begins promptly at 3:30 p.m.

Awards will be given in grouped categories based on the number of participants. One overall winner, the “Kerlin Pick,” will receive cash and prizes and a plaque.
