Family Fun Day Saturday At Rarick Park

Family Fun Day is planned from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday at Rarick Park, Warsaw.

Free food and games will available at the event, which is sponsored by Healing House Worship Center. Everyone is invited.

The park is behind the former Marsh Supermarket.



Marvin Marrow Will Give Concert Saturday

PIERCETON — Marvin Marrow will sing Saturday at Free United Baptist Church, 4 miles south of Pierceton.  

The evening of praise and worship will begin at 6 pm.  Everyone is welcome.



Free School Supply Fish Fry Saturday

MENTONE — Palestine Bible Church will host a school supply fish fry from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Saturday.

The community is invited for a free meal of fried fish. Free school supplies will be available for children of all ages.

The church is at 3226 S. CR 550W, Mentone, halfway between Mentone and Warsaw on Ind. 25 in Palestine.  

Palestine Bible Church is an independent, non-denominational, fundamental church that believes the Bible is the only standard of faith and practice for those who believe in Jesus Christ and for his church. Sunday services include Sunday school at 9:30 a.m. and worship services at 10:30 a.m. and 6 p.m.

Palestine Area Invited To Pro Photo Shoot

MENTONE — Palestine Bible Church will host a professional photo shoot from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Saturday.

Members of the Palestine community are invited to have professional quality individual and/or family photographs taken by photographer Craig Shull. Cost will be $2.10 per 8x10 photo, with no additional charges, and less for smaller pictures.

Pictures will be available in approximately two weeks.

The church hosts the professional photo shoot as a service to the Palestine community.

The church is at 3226 S. CR 550W, Mentone, halfway between Mentone and Warsaw on Ind. 25 in Palestine.

Orlando House Of Prayer Pastor To Speak

NORTH MANCHESTER — Victory Christian Fellowship will host Pastor Carlos Sarmiento from Orlando (Fla.) House of Prayer at 10 am. Aug. 13.  

Sarmiento is executive director of Orlando House of Prayer (OrlandoHop.org), a ministry organized as a city church and a missions base and which is open for prayer, worship and intercession 24/7.

Sarmiento has been preaching God's word around the world since 1982. He was recently on TBN and “Sid Roth’s It’s Supernatural.” He has a passion for revival, and to encourage God's people to pray.  

Victory Christian Fellowship, a non-denominational family church, is at 112 W. Main St., North Manchester. Children’s services are available at all meetings.

Shalom Trio, Baptism At Tippe Lake Sunday

LEESBURG — The Shalom Trio will be the guest musicians at Leesburg United Methodist Church’s lakeside service  at Tippecanoe Lake on Sunday.

The Shalom Trio comprises Nancie Adams, Helen Brontrager and Marcia Brothers, who are all from northern Indiana. The women have sung together for 35 years; they sing in various churches and retirement centers in the Elkhart area. Brontrager and Brothers formed the group in 1982 and Adams came on board about two years later.  

This week is also the church’s annual Lakeside Baptism Sunday. Pastor Rob Seewald will be baptizing all who wish to be baptized in the lake directly after the service in the beach area.

The service begins at 8:30 a.m. Sunday at Patona Bay on Tippecanoe Lake. Guests may come by boat, kayak or canoe and anchor in front of Patona Bay. Those who join the group on land should bring a chair. If it rains, the service will be moved to the boathouse.

Leesburg UMC also has a service at 9:30 a.m. Sunday at its building in Leesburg.



Old-Fashioned Hymn Sing Part Of Service

Author, missionary and inspirational speaker Duke DuVall will lead an “Old-Fashioned Hymn Sing and Preaching” Sunday night at Warsaw Missionary Church.

DuVall is a management consultant and the author of “How to Conquer Giants,” which he calls “the top ten success principles from the word’s richest man.” He is also director of Light of the World ministries, which operates a toll-free call-in number for a 5- to 7-minute moment of inspiration.

The evening will begin at 6:10 Sunday with music from Baugo Bay Gospel Singers. 4 O’Clock Shadow will share some barbershop-style hymns during the service, which begins at 6:30 p.m.

Spaces Available For Weekend Flea Market

Warsaw Family Worship Center will have a flea market Friday and Saturday in the church parking lot.

Spaces are available for $10 each day. Spaces are 10 x 10; vendors may may have a table and tent or sell from the trunk of their car.

Annual Camp Meeting July 28-30

CLAYPOOL — The 2017 Indiana North Church of God camp meeting will be at the YCL Ministries campground, Yellow Creek Lake this weekend.

Times are 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday. Conferences and family actitivies are planned Friday and Saturday.

Speaker for the weekend is Mark Shaner, pastor of East Side Church of God, Anderson. Worship leader is Sarah Scharbrough McLaughlin from Grace Church, Noblesville.

The campground is at the junction of CRs 675W and 900S in Kosciusko County.
