Dick was born April 20, 1935, in Warsaw, to Walter and Irene Holloway Hyde. He attended public schools and grew

Dick worked for Sun Metal production company, where he worked his way up to vice president of manufacturing. He was able to take early retirement in
Dick enjoyed fishing, golfing and bowling. He was a very talented bowler and was inducted into the Warsaw Bowlers Hall of Fame. In the early 1970s, Dick was selected as one of Warsaw’s best amateur bowlers to go up against the Stroh’s Professional Bowling Team and he served his community very well in that competition. Even late in life, he was still competing
He will be lovingly remembered by his three children: Robin (Mark) Eakes, Mount Juliet, Tenn.; Molly Mortimer, Biloxi, Miss.; and Roger Hyde, Warsaw; four grandchildren: Denise Ferrell, John Robert Eakes, Lesley Anne Eakes and Joshua Hyde; three great-grandchildren: Justin, Maci and Vivianna; as well as his good friends Jerry and Mary Holmer of Osage and Carl Sundquist of Park Rapids.
Dick was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara; his son, Bob; and a sister, Judy.
Graveside services are planned for 9 a.m. Thursday, July 27, at Oakwood Cemetery, 421 North Maple Ave., Warsaw, with Rev. Bob Ford officiating.
