The couple were married in 1967 at Island Chapel United Methodist Church, Hastings, by the Rev. Raymond Wilson.
Mike is a retired farmer and Wawasee Schools bus driver. Carolyn is a retired nurse.
They have three children: Dr. Kara (Jaemy) Hwang, Fishers; Krista (Grayson) McCombs, Akron; and Karena (Darren) Wilkinson, Milford. They have eight grandchildren.
They will celebrate their anniversary with an open House from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday, July 29, at Wawasee Community Bible Church, Milford.
