Wednesday Night Bridge Group

The group had eight tables July 12, with the following winners: Annette Magner, Bob Mayer, Tom Anderson, Jack Horney, Rosalee Spear, Mary Prescott, Andy Overmyer, Jan Chiddister and Liz Frazzetta.  

Janet and John Wagley are hostess and host for July.



Four Seasons Ladies Bridge

The Four Seasons Ladies Bridge met July 12 at the Great Wall.  

The winners were Dorothy Sweeney, Judy Stewart, Virginia Horn and Joyce Latta. The hostess was Beth Huffer.



Singles Meeting Friends

Fourteen people attended the group’s meeting July 12, including a new person, Agnes.

Topics included Senior Day at the Kosciuko County 4-H fair. Those who went to the fair enjoyed it, even though it was hot and muggy.

Judy hurt her hand, wrist and elbow in a fall.

Members enjoyed game night Friday at Martin’s Super Market. The group has game night at 7 p.m. the second Friday of every month.

Singles Meeting Friends meets at 6:30 p.m. Wednesdays at Martin’s.



Wednesday Afternoon Ladies Bridge

The group met July 12 at Tippecanoe Lake Country Club, with Ven Endsley as hostess.

Jean Cowan was the winner for the day.



Kosciusko County Retired Teachers

Kosciusko County Retired Teachers met July 11 at Miller's Living Center. Presidents Deb Satterley and Julie Martin called the meeting to order. Music was provided by Dorothy Sweeney.

Guests were Brenda VanLaningham, Kathy Kinch, Sharon Gallagher and Norma Plank. Thanks were given to Ann Chubb, who sent 23 letters to new retirees in the county, and to those who brought guests.

The business meeting was followed by introduction of John Secrest, recipient of the Retired Teachers scholarship. He graduated from Tippecanoe Valley High School and is a junior at Manchester University majoring in history and secondary education.

The group played bingo. Carolyn Davis, Richard Rosbrugh and Carol Plew won the raffles.

The group’s website, kcrteachers.org, received an honorable mention for the 52nd annual Representative Assembly of the IRTA.

The next meeting will be Sept. 12.



Pizza King Bridge Group

The Pizza King bridge group played July 13, with Elaine Tripp as hostess. Winners were Ann Thallemer and Joan Kizer.

All bridge players are welcome to play at Pizza King on Thursdays. For more information, call 574-269-7336.



North Webster Community Center SPEC

NORTH WEBSTER — The bridge winners from the Senior Prime Enrichment Center this week are as follows:

July 11 — Mike Wyrick, first, and Richard Blank, second.

July 13 — Andrea Overmyer, first, and Richard Blank, second.
