Becca was born Sept. 1, 1947, in South Bend, to Rodney and Wilma (Thomas) Davenport. On Jan. 7, 1967, she was married to Lynn E. Kyler, and to this marriage were born her three children: Carole (Mark)
Becca was a 1965 graduate of North Webster High School. She graduated from St. Mary of the Woods College and Southern California University, earning a Master of Science in law. She was a member of the National Association of Social Workers. She found purpose and gained fulfillment through her work in the social sciences field.
Becca retired as a social worker from the state of Kentucky. Retirement enabled her to enjoy her love of reading, cooking, gardening and her animals, as well as spending time with her children and 10 grandchildren.
Rebecca loved her pets, especially her cats and dogs.
Becca is survived by her three children; 10 grandchildren; and 11 siblings: David Davenport, Bloomington; Christie Davenport, Warsaw; Ray Davenport, South Whitley; Bridget Davenport, South Whitley; Mary Hurley, Warsaw; Anne Mynhier, South Whitley; Clare Gilmore, Portland, Texas; Siobhan Davenport, Warsaw; Kelly Davenport (Thomas Delaney), Columbia City; Stephanie (David) Clements, Kirklin; and Elizabeth (Thomas) Stonecypher, Columbia, S.C.
Becca was preceded in death by her husband Jim, her parents and two infant grandchildren.
A private memorial service will be held with the family. Bailey-Love Mortuary, Huntington, is honored to serve the family of Rebecca Rae Taylor.
